People everywhere seem to love music festivals. Most likely, you have seen a new festival popping up every month on your social media feed. Moreover, live music companies and musicians alike have been creating their own festivals, like Friends and Lovers by Usher and Something In The Water by Pharrell. Festivals are the current frontier of live music, with live music coming back after the pandemic. People everywhere seem to enjoy the endless variety. Club Quarantine originated from DJ D-Nice’s quarantine livestream. On the viral livestream, music and performances from artists were broadcast, including performances by The Isley Brothers, Common, Trey Songz, Deborah Cox, Sheila E, and Mary Mary. It provided a sense of enjoyment during the beginning of the stay-at-home orders. Live Nation Urban partnered up with DJ D-Nice to bring the musical celebration to life.

Made In America is held every Labor Day weekend on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The festival was founded by Jay-Z and Roc Nation. The festival headliners this year are Bad Bunny and Tyler, The Creator. Other performances will include a diverse range of acts from Pusha T and Larry June to Toro y Moi and Chimbala.

Music at the Intersection highlights both St. Louis based musicians and national acts across blues, jazz, soul, R&B, hip-hop, & rock and roll. It is celebrating its second year of music meeting heritage. Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper with special guest Terrace Martin, and Gary Clark Jr. will headline Music at the Intersection, taking place in St. Louis September 10-11th.

The festival is celebrating twelve years of promoting unity through music. This year, they have a lineup of over forty artists featured on different sets and platforms. It’s known as a homecoming, in the way it celebrates the South, music and culture.
