Raz Simone brings possibly his best effort yet in his verse from the ‘Same Problems’ music video.
Seattle’s next up will be heard! On the new music video featuring fellow Northwest native’s Gifted Gab and Fatal Lucciauno. Raz follows up the onslaught of material since Cognitive Dissonance Part II dropped with continued thoughts from the previous ‘Macklemore & Chief Keef’ and ‘Drake And Macklemore’s Platform’ visuals.

For me the record has crazy aggression and Raz truly finds confidence within his voice. Music builds cinematically (with a touch of Rock influence) as Raz, Gifted Gab, and Fatal Lucciauno trade bars about inequality in the music game. Raz is always at his best when depicting the unsettling reality around him, and this song may be one of his best yet lyrically. The conversation of racial inequality within music has been getting louder as of late. In the previous ‘Macklemore and Chief Keef record, Raz claimed Macklemore had prophesied his influence on music with his ‘White Privlege’ record. Azalea Banks has brought a ton of noise to the topic and has also name dropped Macklemore herself and Kanye West recently touched on it within his BET awards accept speech. Raz has brought a new view to the conversation, from the streets. There is no doubt in my mind that white privilege has played a part in hip-hop, which is a mind blowing thing to see from a genre derived from black culture.
Raz also announced he will be dropping an EP titled “Macklemore Privilege and Chief on Keef Violence.” Available for free download March 3rd at Razsimone.com/.
