Seattle has been a fire bed for hip-hop these last few years. Artists from the region are reaching new heights. Acts like Lil Mosey have hit hip-hop’s digital pinnacle with streams and media presence while Travis Thompson has broken through the indie-major label spectrum that few touch. The streets have still been left out. But that’s beginning to change. Ralphy Davis is a Seattle artist that’s prioritized branding, music, and out of state moves. If you’re unfamiliar, I’d invite you to tune into the Say Less EP.
Ralphy has collaborated with some of the Bay’s biggest rappers like Berner and San Quinn, touched major festivals like Upstream Music Festival, and we’ve booked him for our Seattle World Tour and the West Coast Weed Tour in Oakland. He even blazed a hot verse at our 8 year anniversary cypher with ETC (you can catch that in this video from Hip-Hop Seattle). From the clothing line to the lifestyle, Ralphy leads the way with “Ayedoe” as the slogan and whether he’s ten toes down in Seattle or the Bay, good people always surround him. This has established the building blocks to begin the ascent out of the local scene and help bridge the gap for local street music and the industry.

Listen on Apple Music
Say Less is a follow up to the local smash 6 Days 6 Nights project with DJBASSKIDS. On the former release, Ralpy stepped up the production value with a cohesive project that dabbled between soulful and harder sounds. Say Less finds the Seattle rapper settling more into West Coast vibes. And while the backdrop may fly more on the best coast, Ralphy delivers with a flow that can land on either coast. No matter how you cut it, Ralphy isn’t worried about what box he’s put in. On “Twice” the rapper mentions, “Don’t care about being lyrical, I’m rapping my life.”
The quick five-track EP is the perfect joint to slap for some hustle motivation and is a great example of what Seattle’s scene has to offer. Mafi D, the only feature on the project puts it best “somebody tell Shawn Cotton we the hottest in the town.”
