Seattle favorite Ralphy Davis and California up n’ comer BD Tre travel the I-5 to connect on new joint album BandiAyedoe, a combination of their two labels.
The 9-track project features other talents like Mafi D, G.T. and Cam The Mac, with each track coming with a different element of traditional west coast funk and hip-hop. These two have seem to have a knack for being in the studio together, delivering tracks as if they’ve been doing this for years.
By now, our readers are familiar with Ralphy Davis, he’s been coming up in the local Seattle scene for a few years now, being featured several times on RMR and rocking our stages from Seattle to Oakland. BD Tre however is an artist from California who’s created a solid platform to launch his music career. His 2020 album Port Music was a great debut project for BD with standout tracks being “Shake Em Off” and “The Secret Formula.”
With plenty of slaps on the tracklist, BandiAyedoe is a solid West Coast project. Ralphy and BD make it theirs coming on every track with their own flavor and flare. Going bar for bar these two create an infectious energy that you know would kill a live show.
The big hitters from BandiAyedoe appear to be “Touch My Hands” and “Like That” with my personal favorite being “What Happened?” which features Seattle’s Mafi D. Fast paced and catchy, “What Happened?” gives some insight into how are ruthless it can be out in the streets. While tracks like “Plays” are more fun-having, about the come ups and securing the bag.
