The brothers are back in business together. The hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd consisting of Swae Lee, and Slim Jxmmi, put rumors to rest by announcing their new album, SremmLife 4 is in the works.
Taking to social media, one half of Rae Sremmurd, Swae Lee confirmed the news of the fourth installment of the SremmLife series. The superstar posted a video of him and his brother Slim Jxmmi dancing to an unreleased song.
The duo was filled with smiles while swaying a song that sounds like an instant banger. Swae Lee’s post captioned “Sremm 4 OTW !!!” tags his brother with a string of hearts and secured lock emojis.
Early in 2019, Slim Jxmmi fired off a series of cryptic tweets, causing rumors to swirl that Rae Sremmurd had broken up for good. The rumors were refuted with the two issuing a statement on Twitter:
Speaking to ESSENCE last year, Swae Lee said “As for Rae Sremmurd, we dropped three classic albums already; it’s time for the fourth. The fans have been patient. It’s time to give them what they’ve been waiting for.”
SremmLife 4 follows their 2018 triple album SR3MM, which featured Swae Lee’s solo debut Swaecation along with Slim Jxmmi’s solo album Jxmtro.
Swae Lee is also working on his sophomore solo effort, tentatively titled Human Nature. He recently released the single “Dance Like No One’s Watching.”
Slim Jxmmi recently featured on the rising female rapper, former Rap Game contestant, Young Lyric’s viral hit “Busy Right Now”, which has amassed nearly 500,000 plays since release.
