Some cannabis has a smell that makes you do a double-take. The Purple Pie strain’s sour berry aroma is one of those rare aromas that completely blew me away. The smell was unique and it was so pungent I felt like I could smell it after I put the lid on. Cascadia Gardens wants each one of their cultivars to express their innermost unique characteristics and it is clear Purple Pie’s best trait is its smell.
Not only is the smell incredible, but this cultivar also passed the eye test with flying colors. These flowers were highlighted by incredible trichome coverage and indigo-blue colors. The eighth covered the entire jar and looked way more than 3.5 grams.
When compared to the smell, the flavor wasn’t everything I had hoped it would be. I got a plain earthy aroma and the smoke went down smooth and it was easy to rip entire bowls. It’s clear this strain was grown with care and then I would probably bye this strain again just to smell it one more time. Maybe next time I get a little more of that terpy berry aroma in the smoke as well.
