I first saw Protohype in Houston at a small bar that had an outdoor patio filled with fake sand and a dope little DJ booth. He was opening up for Minnesota and the promoters hadn’t done that good of a job selling tickets. I definitely remember less than 50 people attending the event and I had a front row view in the very middle. It was incredibly filthy and was just the second show I’d ever been to. Three years later, I’m as big a fan as ever after witnessing him kill it at Paradiso 2014 and his ability to constantly release banger after banger.
