Polo G has been proving his place in the rap game will be long-standing, collaborating with bigger and bigger artists on each release. Recently, he let loose the visuals for his new song with Weezy F. Baby himself. “Gang Gang” featuring Lil Wayne is a steady banger that now has appropriately movie-esque visuals to go along with it. As one of his main musical influences growing up, it’s crazy to see a Polo G track with Lil Wayne riding shotgun on the beat.
Wayne’s wordplay and metaphors have always been a key factor in Polo G’s admiration of Wayne growing up. “GANG GANG” comes as a follow-up to Polo’s April single “RAPSTAR,” which rose to become his first No. 1 single. Polo G went for the W on “Gang Gang” and brought Weezy in to solidify the hit. The beat has a smooth, ethereal sample before a driving 808 comes in with clicking high hats that set the vibe. A house party in the Ghetto unfolds in the visuals, with Wayne and Polo turning up while expensive cars pull up.

If you’re applying the filters used in the video to big-budget films, the colors are similar to an action flick. Striking cyan blue and red-orange colors dominate the filters for the video, creating an epic feeling as the pair flex in a rundown neighborhood. Polo comes in first with an unsurprisingly catchy hook before diving into the beat. He lets loose a barrage of catchy wordplay and infectious melodies. Lil Wayne hops in next and keeps the energy at its peak while crooning auto-tuned bars. The epic and moody visuals saw direction from Roscoe while the beat was put together by Angelo Ferraro.
Polo G is getting ready to release his next studio album, Hall of Fame, following his last year’s release, THE GOAT. He’s currently feeding us singles like “RAPSTAR” and the new cut “GANG GANG” to keep our pallets wet before he gives us the main course. Watch the lit visuals below and see why Polo G is one of the top emcees of the new generation.
