Strain names that incorporate food are an easier sell in my opinion. Perhaps cannabis has some overlap with food being the fastest way to someone’s heart. For me, my heart belongs to well-seasoned food and the Purple Garlic Mushroom Onion (PGMO) strain sounds like one that is well balanced and teeming with flavor.

Each bud of the Purple Garlic Mushroom Onion (PGMO) strain was absolutely stunning with deep purple nugs that were covered in orange pistils. Every flower bud felt great in terms of moisture and density. It was clear the buds were not dried out or improperly cured. The smell was similar to garlic and other herbs and spices that I can’t quite put my nose on, but each scent did smell incredibly delectable.
The smoke for the Purple Garlic Mushroom Onion (PGMO) strain was a delightful, smooth, and flavor-packed experience. Akin to the smell, it has a unique taste that makes every hit more interesting than the previous. Sweet, sour, and funky x musky x garlic x onion scents filled the nostrils when I broke down the bud in my grinder. The experience was honestly great.
Based in Los Angeles, The Cure Company’s biggest claim to fame is collaborating with the late Nipsey Hussle for The Marathon OG and also with Snoop Dogg. Based on my experience with this PGMO, I would say that the rap superstars were up on game when they selected The Cure Company to work with.
The Purple Garlic Mushroom Onion (PGMO) strain is more of an indica-dominant leaning hybrid in my experience. I wasn’t instantly ready to retreat back to bed during my wake and bake test, but I also don’t exactly see myself reaching for this before an early morning fitness routine. I wouldn’t mind having a bowl or two after a workout though. This strain definitely brought on the munchies and some seriously sedative relaxation.
