Halloween can bring out some of the darkest and most creative work from artists. They love to go all out with the spooky vibes and generally most of the creations are worth checking out. This year, many of the Halloweek music releases have all been executed quite nicely. One of this year’s creations comes from Perspective who recently released a 6-song EP titled “Ichabod Crane.”
Perspective’s work on this project is on the darker side of the hip-hop spectrum and even comes with a holiday-themed song called “Dracula.” Two of the other notably different tracks from “Ichabod Crane” are Joker and Night Vision, the latter having my favorite vibes from the entire project.

The album overall has a sound that speaks to a lot of cold flows that could only come from Chicago. The boom-bap vibes come together seamlessly with Perspective’s unceasing flow. There is definitely beauty in production and wordplay that doesn’t always align with the current trends or mainstream industry.
