For the last several summers, tens of thousands of electronic dance music fans have flooded to the Gorge to enjoy Paradiso; the premier EDM festival. While finding drugs at any music festival is typical, the amount of drugs found at this year’s event may cause concern among future attendees, their friends, and family.

38 drug dealers were arrested on 97 felony charges over the weekend, per YakTri News. From these arrests authorities seized molly, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, cocaine, steroids and ketamine. With molly clearly proving to be the most prevalent and popular drug of choice. Along with these drugs, authorities also seized thousands of dollars in cash and one handgun from a drug dealer.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s office in a Facebook post, “all were drug-dealing quantity busts, not simple possession-size busts.” And while some may argue that for something like Paradiso, a private stash may be bigger than usual.

The coinciding rumors of overdosing from fentanyl laced cocaine, and seeing not one but two emergency helicopter transports leave the venue reminds us all that while we can enjoy these festivals and the activities that come along with them.
