Palm Springs’ 2024 Splash House Festival Delivers Incredible Weekend 1 Experience

Splash House in Palm Springs is a legendary pool party and music festival that takes place over two weekends each summer. Known for its unique blend of electronic music, poolside fun, and a laid-back desert vibe, Splash House has become a staple for Southern California festival-goers who enjoy a more intimate and immersive experience compared to massive music festivals.

The event is spread across three hotel resorts in Palm Springs—Renaissance, Margaritaville, and Saguaro. The colorful décor of the hotels, combined with the desert backdrop, creates an Instagram-worthy setting.

The Saguaro, in particular, is known for its vibrant color scheme, adding to the festive atmosphere. Each hotel features a pool stage with top-tier electronic and house music DJs, creating a vibrant atmosphere where attendees can dance, swim, and relax.

Palm Springs Vibes

One of the most anticipated sets of weekend 1, Green Velvet B2B Gorgon City was one for the books. Green Velvet, known for his signature Chicago house sound and charismatic stage presence, brought a deep, funky vibe to the set.

Gorgon City, with their polished blend of house, bass, and soulful vocals, complemented Green Velvet’s style perfectly. The combination of their distinct sounds created a dynamic and seamless musical journey, blending classic house, deep basslines, and infectious rhythms.

Hugel is also an honorable mention, as he took us on a melodic journey inspired by Latin house music. As a French DJ and producer, he spent quite some time in Spain, and during his time there, he mastered the Latin house, Afrobeat, and European dance music, sound creating music that is characterized by groovy baselines, rhythmic percussions, and catchy vocal hooks. He definitely has a talent for reading the crowd and creating a vibe that seamlessly blends with the festival.

Party goers were floating on inflatable unicorns, flamingos, and other fun pool toys while sipping on drinks and enjoying the music. The vibe was immaculate and welcoming to say the least. The poolside bars and food trucks offered a variety of options to keep everyone refreshed and hydrated in the heat.

Among this years sponsors were Patron, Beatbox, Bang Energy drinks, Nasty Beast hard tea, Electrolit electrolyte drinks, Los Sunday seltzers, Stella Artois, and more.

Beyond the poolside fun, Splash House hosts after-hours parties at the Palm Springs Air Museum, a unique venue where attendees can dance under the stars next to vintage airplanes. Although the entire museum isn’t open, attendees can walk around and chill in various parts of the venue and there are plenty of planes and war memorabilia to check out or dance next to.

The after parties were great and featured artists like ROSEY, Torren Foot, the legend himself, Duke Dumont. These late-night events are often a highlight, offering a different vibe from the daytime pool parties.

The air museum is the venue for the official “After Hours” gathering for every party goer to attend, so it’s always the perfect meet up spot even if your friends were spread out between different hotels throughout the day.
