San Francisco‘s biggest music event of the year is all set to return to Golden Gate Park this summer. Outside Lands will take place from August 11–13 over the weekend and it’s going to be massive. The festival has garnered a reputation for featuring a vast array of musicians, but 2023 certainly takes the cake for having one of the most impressive lineups in recent years.
The fifteenth annual Outside Lands festival revealed its roster a month ago and we simply can’t wait for August. The flyer is, however, a little intimidating given how many all-stars it holds. The frontline features heavyweights such as Kendrick Lamar, ODESZA, The 1975, Lana Del Rey, Megan Thee Stallion, Fisher and Maggie Rogers, all of whom released albums in the past year. ZEDD and Janelle Monae, who will also be playing evening sets, recently put out singles too. The Foo Fighters are the only band among the headliners who haven’t put out new music recently considering their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, recently passed away.
Outside Lands 2023 Lineup
Even past the magnified names, the list keeps going. You know Outside Lands went hard when you see so many big names on the second team. Lil Yachty, Father John Misty, JID, Crumb and Orville Peck (among others) are just some of the more acts that have been summoned to San Francisco later this year.
One of the most beautiful locations in the world, Golden Gate Park hosts this three-day festival to celebrate love, art and culture. Though each year leaves a mark, the upcoming event is particularly compelling because of how much ground it covers.
