Sour Diesel has always been one of my all-time favorite strains. When I heard that there was an Oregon version called Oregon Diesel, it was guaranteed that I would have to try it out. Crossing NYC Diesel with Blackberry Kush created the Oregon Diesel strain which is said to be an Indica Dominant hybrid with a sour and sweet earthy aroma.
When I opened the glass jar with the Oregon Diesel strain, right away my nose was filled with a distinct diesel smell complete with hints of blackberry and sweet skunky weed. There were spots of purple throughout the buds plus each flower featured some green and orange hairs. These buds were definitely fire and covered in trichomes.
The nugs were super dense and even after rolling a blunt, I still had plenty leftover from just a single gram. I was still able to smoke a nice-size bowl from my bong before going to bed.
The high was a lot more mellow than I anticipated it being, but I felt calm and relaxed. At times I definitely got spacey, but I found myself grooving to the reggae that was playing more than anything else. I was very surprised at the mellowness of the high as I continued to burn away at my blunt, Oregon Diesel is definitely a perfect night time high weed and is generally a strain we would consider to be fire depending on who cultivated the cannabis.
