Rap’s reigning Queen, Nicki Minaj, has welcomed her first child with husband Kenneth Petty. According to a report from TMZ, sources say she gave birth on Wednesday, September 30th in Los Angeles. At the time or reporting, no sex or name has been reported.
Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj, announced her pregnancy in July with a stunning photoshoot by famed photographer Dave LaChapelle.
This came after her unexpected announcement that she would be retiring to start a family over a year ago. She did not stick to her guns, however. This year alone Nicki Minaj earned two Billboard Hot 100 #1 songs for her features on “Say So” and “Trollz”.
While Nicki had been laying low, assumingly to prepare to give birth, she hasn’t been invisible. She recently appeared, very pregnant, in Ty Dolla $ign’s “Expensive” music video.
