New Track City Interview With Respect My Region

The Northwest has long been synonymous with boom bap. Drawing inspiration from 90’s culture, Seattle has had a long relationship with jazz samples and crunchy snares. New Track City is a rare group inspired by the likes of Tribe Called Quest and Outkast.

Don’t mistake them for complete retro fanatics. Blending past with the present, NTC also takes a liking to ‘new school’ artists like J. Cole, Wale, and Lupe Fiasco.

Hailing from Federal Way, the guys represent an area we don’t touch often. Sitting between Seattle and Tacoma has some advantages since they soak up game from both scenes. Setting standards towards quality and candor. The group does seem to put more emphasis on being dope rather than standing out in one city.

We got to ask the guys some questions and release a new visual of theirs. S/O the whole crew and Ben for setting this up.
