New Music Monday Ft. Stylust, Mafi D, Sauce Walka, Yung Gravy + More

“Reeferman” – Stylust and Mucky Update

To kick things off, Stylust and Mucky Update released a new song this week titles “Reeferman.” The song begins with a distorted voice memo, and goes into an incredible dub-step beat. The production includes a great use of distorted bass and lots of sound effects. The tune should not be slept on and is worth checking out.

“Runway” – DJ Premier, Westside Gunn and Rome Streetz

We also got a new song from DJ Premier this week. The track is titled “Runway” and features Westside Gunn and Rome Streetz. DJ Premier adds iconic production and there are some great percussion elements with a sick keyboard line. Both Westside Gunn and Rome Streetz deliver great verses, speaking on their drive and their come-up in the music industry.

“The Bay (feat. Turf Talk)”- E-40

Staying in the same lane, E-40 and Turf Talk released an amazing collaboration. Their new tune is titled “The Bay” and it includes some incredible rapping and unique production. The song is full of distorted kick drums, and incredible sound effects. Both rappers show their personal vocal style and the song is full of energy.

“FROM THE JUMP (feat. MikeJack3200 & Big Sad 1900)” – Mafi D

Mafi D’s new release is in our ears as well. The song is titled “FROM THE JUMP” and it features MikeJack3200 and Big Sad 1900. Mafi D has been killing it this year releasing loads of great new songs and collaborations, “FROM THE JUMP,” is another step in the right direction. The song has a crunchy 808 beat as well some some great synth parts. All of the rappers showcase their incredible skills and unique vocal styles.

“Can’t Stand Me” – Propain & Z-Ro

Houston is back in a big way anytime Propain or Z-Ro drop something. Propain released a great new tune with Z-Ro this past week, titled “Can’t Stand Me”. The song starts off with a great synth loop and classic hip-hop 808 beat. Vocally, there is a combination of great rapping and a great melodic hook. Lyrically, the pair discusses overcoming haters and being successful despite online and in person criticism. It is all around a great collaboration that is worth listening to. If you like Texas music, we definitely will continue to shine a light on the lone star state with each week’s New Music Monday.

“Brand New”- Tru Carr & TeeFLii

Los Angeles has a great number of quality artists. Tru Carr and TeeFLii’s new release “Brand New” has been in our ears all weekend. The track includes a simple 808 beat with a dope piano loop. Both rappers stay in the pocket throughout the song, as well as add some great ad libs and melodic lines. The hook gets stuck in the listeners head after only one listen!

“Nightmare on Peachtree Street (feat. Freddie Dredd)” – Yung Gravy

Yung Gravy’s new Halloween themed release “Nightmare on Peachtree Street” is not one to miss. Production wise, the track contains some great ethereal strings and a tight beat, halfway through the track the beat changes up making the song even more engaging. The song contains some hilarious, but great lyrics from Yung Gravy as well as appearances from bbno$. The standout lyrics in my opinion were, “Got a lil’ pump, she got a D and a rose / Ten like Ben 10, wrist on frozen / Merch seller, full name Jason clothes / Never sold out, but I sold out shows (Uh)”. Overall, it is not a track to miss and regardless of Yung Gravy’s reputation, he can definitely spit.

“ONLY FANS” – Sauce Walka

Back with more drip than the day before, Sauce Walka released a sick new song “ONLY FANS” this week, it is set to be the first single off of his upcoming album and was considered a must-listen by Joey on this week’s New Music Monday.

Sauce Walka has been very open about making a large portion of his income on the app OnlyFans. His new release is combining both of these career paths, while he raps about his OnlyFans experience. It’s definitely a dope song with some great production, lyrics and a wild music video.

“BUTTERFLY COUPE (feat. Tyga) – Kalan.FrFr

Another great collaboration released this week is Kalan.FrFr and Tyga’s new tune “BUTTERFLY COUPE”. Kalan combines rapping and singing flawlessly, the song contains a catchy hook as well as some tight verses from both rappers. Tyga adds his style through his verse halfway through the song. Overall, it’s a dope collaboration!

“Ray Of Solar” – Swedish House Mafia

Swedish House Mafia gave us another great electronic song this week. “Ray of Solar” starts off with a beautiful string part and almost operatic vocal loop. We just published a full write-up on this release on our home page today so be sure to slide over and check that out when you get a moment.

“Mind Pluck” – Subtronics & HOL!

Another release that has been in our ears this week is “Mind Pluck” by Subtronics and HOL! The song has some intense production, starting off slow with some disonant string parts and going into a hard hitting beat with loads of builds and drops throughout. The track is a production masterpiece. Do yourself a favor and listen to it! Make sure you stretch your neck out first though.

“Don’t Look Down (feat. BANKS)” – Jai Wolf

Last on our list for this week is Jai Wolf and BANKS’s new release “Don’t Look Down”. The song includes some beautiful vocals from BANKS and some incredible production from Wolf. Their creation incorporates a combination of pop vocals and electronic production flawlessly.

That’s all for this week!

We hope you found some great new songs to add to your playlist!
