New Music Monday: Lil Uzi Vert, Luh Tyler Rylo Rodriguez and More Drop New Music

This week RMR is continuing our new segment “New Music Monday,” where we run down the best tracks released each week. This week we have some great songs to recommend for your Fourth of July holiday!

A lot of incredible tracks were released this week across multiple genres. For this episode, we are again focusing on new hip-hop and electronic tracks, as well as some pop and Latin songs. Our list includes, Lil Uzi Vert, Rylo Rodriguez, Luh Tyler, Veeze, Olivia Rodrigo, Bad Bunny and more!

“Aye feat. Travis Scott”- Lil Uzi Vert

To start us off, Lil Uzi Vert released their newest record, Pink Tape, this past Friday. This is their seventh studio album and is overall a very diverse record. The album includes 28 tracks, with one of the standout songs being “Aye” which features Travis Scott. The song has a great, infectious beat and is sure to be a huge hit at live shows. The track is also a win for Travis Scott fans who have been eagerly awaiting his upcoming album Utopia, which still doesn’t have a release date. Overall, the song is a great collaboration.

“Room Comfort”- Rylo Rodriguez

We also got a new album from Rylo Rodriguez this week. The album is titled Been One and it’s his second studio album. One of the standout tracks on his new record is Room Comfort.” It features both Fridayy and Lil Durk, both of whom have been highly successful recently. The song has been getting a decent amount of streams so far and could definitely help take Rodriguez’s career to the next level.

“Brand New Blues”- Luh Tyler

Staying in the hip-hop category, we also got a new track from Luh Tyler this week. He released his new track “Brand New Blues” this past Friday and it is already getting lots of streams. This track follows 16-year-old Luh Tyler’s explosion onto the scene in mid-2022. Since then, he released a full length album in March 2023, and has been featured on tracks with DDG and Doe Boy. “Brand New Blues” is a great track and will definitely keep Luh Tyler’s momentum going.

“Not a Drill” – Veeze

Michigan rapper Veeze released his new record Ganger this past week as well. So far, the standout track from the record is “Not a Drill.” This track and his whole album have been getting incredible reviews. As always, Veeze is rapping incredibly well and writing lyrics like no other.

“Big Hammer”- James Blake

To start off the electronic category for this week’s New Music Monday, James Blake released his new track “Big Hammer.” It’s the first single from his upcoming album Playing Robots Into Heaven. The song starts off slow and gradually builds. The first half of the track is strictly instrumental, then some great vocals come in keeping the listener fully engaged. It is an extremely modern song and if you like electronic music, you will love this track.

“Quartz”- Kai Campos & Mount Kimbie

Another great electronic release this week is Kai Campos and Mount Kimbie’s new track “Quartz.” This song is extremely techno influenced. Although it is instrumental, it keeps the listener’s attention the whole time. “Quartz” is a track off of Kai Campos and Mount Kimbie’s upcoming record City Planning, which will be released on July 21.

“Vampire”- Olivia Rodrigo

This week Olivia Rodrigo released her newest single “vampire” off her upcoming record GUTS. The song starts off as one of Rodrigo’s classic ballads but builds into a pretty great rock song. She is clearly evolving, and this song will definitely be a huge top 40 hit. My one complaint is that I think the piano part could have been replaced with a guitar, but either way it’s definitely a very decent pop record.

“MOJABI GHOST” – Tainy & Bad Bunny

And lastly to round out this episode of New Music Monday, Tainy and Bad Bunny released a new track titled “Mojabi Ghost.” The song has an awesome beat and some great vocals from both artists. Since Bad Bunny has been extremely popular recently, this song definitely has the possibility of being a huge hit.
