Over the years the Bay Area has seen numerous rappers gain national attention. From Mac Dre to E-40 and now even G-Eazy, we’ve been jamming bay area slaps for a solid 20+ years now. Lately though, the only real young gunner has been Nef The Pharaoh.
Our friends over at Reign City are bringing out the E-40 collaborator alongside Seattle’s DJ Famous and Portland’s Drae Steves. The show is at El Corazon in downtown Seattle and tickets ARE still available.
Nef The Pharaoh is truly creating his on lane. Dude’s sound blends bay area swag with some inherited southern influence. Big Tymin’ was one of the jams that really put him on the rap industry’s radar and his cadence on ‘Say That’ is reminiscent of Cash Money Record’s reign.
