MistaDC Is A “Sick Boy” In New Music Video From Happyer Now EP

MistaDC has released the first visual from his newest EP, HAPPYer NOW. The “Sick Boy/Sneak Dithen” music video is a quick lil’ song but it will get stuck in your head for days at a time.

DC’s most recent project saw a shift in the overall vibe. Previously, Sorry We Lost You told a somber tale of romance. Whereas, HAPPYer NOW got a boost in tempo and screams, “shake that ass for me!” The dance-centric EP has now gotten a taste of the Justin Frick treatment as he directed the music video for the second track, “Sick Boy/Sneak Dithen.”

The start of the video is dark and mysterious, matching the intensity of the drums when the beat kicks in. MistaDC starts off as a sick boy with some sick thoughts who is about to rage quit. It feels like there is some underlying tension in this song, as DC seemingly calls out his haters “What you want from me // I don’t want your negative energy // I think they have it out for me // on the road to my own discovery.”

As the song takes an ethereal turn, we find DC in a garden with three beautiful women. The energy picks back up as Frick ends the video with a series of stunning cinematic visuals capturing the essence of MistaDC’s musical artistry in less than three minutes.
