Missy has grown with hip-hop; continuously studying and improving her craft. While simultaneously influencing the future of the culture with her unique and often groundbreaking approach to music. Iconology is a culmination of everything hip-hop, with that modern drip to it. You can hear instrumental inspiration from every decade. New cadences blend together with Missy’s brilliant wordplay to create something so familiar yet super fresh at the same time.

Each of the four different tracks on Iconology has its own unique sound to it that explores the many vibes of Missy. The opening track, “Throw It Back,” features her braggadocious and confident swagger. The accompanying music video has her classic, avant-garde approach to it.
The second track, “Cool Off,” just make you wanna’ dance. As the Iconology EP continues, Missy gets more and more sensual with “DripDemeanor” and “Why I Still Love You.” The latter of the two getting the A Capella treatment as the closing track to the project. Major shouts to Missy for including that additional version, not enough artists release A Capella versions of their songs. That’s just another reason why Missy is one of the G.O.A.T.’s.
