On June 2, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack was released, produced by American record producer Metro Boomin. The soundtrack features many huge hip-hop artists including Future, A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage and more.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse is the newest film in the Marvel Comics Universe. It is a computer animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Colombia Pictures. It serves as the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). The film hit theaters this past Friday, June 2, and has already grossed over $69 million. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the filming fo the movie. Fans of the original film have been waiting a while, setting it up to be a huge success.
Who is Metro Boomin?
Metro Boomin was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993. He has become known in the hip-hop world as a producer and DJ. He has produced for various artists including Drake, Travis Scott, and Kanye West. Metro has reached mainstream audiences with his hit albums Not All Heroes Wear Capes (2018) and his follow up album Heroes and Villains (2022). Both albums debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 200. He has become known for his dark production style as well as his hip-hop and trap influences. Metro is a huge Marvel fan, making him the perfect person to produce this soundtrack.
About the Soundtrack
The Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Soundtrack runs for 50 minutes and includes 13 tracks. The songs are great examples of Metro Boomin’s production. One of the most streamed tracks off the soundtrack, so far, is “All the Way Live,” which features Future and Lil Uzi Vert. Producing a soundtrack has many challenges, including making strong music, as well as following the plot of the film. On top of this he worked with many different artists. Metro Boomin did a great job navigating the obstacles and overall, it is a great soundtrack.
