The Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA) is pairing with Marley Natural to host Rise Up Washington, a day dedicated to combating the war on drugs. On May 20th, they will help Washington residents remove cannabis related crimes from their records.
The MCBA is an organization dedicated to maximizing the cannabis industries potential and to create economic empowerment for the cannabis industry and people affected by the drug war, per minoritycannabis.org
Marley Natural is a cannabis brand out of Seattle, dedicated to keeping Bob Marley’s passion for “herb” alive and well. They started Rise Up in tradition with Marley’s philosophy behind sparking social change with activism and cannabis.

Rise Up Washington promises to take all the steps necessary to expunge marijuana-related drug charges from your record in two hours or less. They expect the event to fill up fast so you can pre-register here. To qualify, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a valid state issued ID or valid U.S. passport, and most importantly, were convicted of a cannabis related crime in Washington. If your ID has expired or is not on your person at the time of the event, you cannot participate.
This event comes at the perfect time, as Jeff Sessions is reigniting the war on drugs. After talking about the nation’s opioid epidemic in West Virginia last week, Sessions sent a memo out to federal prosecutors ordering them to “charge and pursue the most serious, readily provable offense in all cases,” Vice News reports.
