There are simple rules to this game of life, but you got to stick to the script! Seattle rapper, Mafi D slides in with a new banger breaking down the “Rules” in his music video.
The Seattle artist represents the Central District of the city. In the visual, he puts the area on full display while giving insight into his hustle throughout the song. A few short years back, we called Mafi D one of Seattle’s hottest artists and he’s honestly only evolved from there. The music just keeps getting better. Through his music he’s able to fill a void within the local soundscape.
While the streets still aren’t getting many mainstream local media looks, the real ones know what’s up. Mafi is clearly getting love from the home section. We recently caught him on the “Fall Down” single featuring fellow Seattle spitter MikeJack3200. We suggest you go spin that record if you missed it! Stay on the look out for Mafi D’s upcoming 1522 album.

The “Rules” To Live By
Rule #1: Always keep one in the chamber and be ready to use it. “Put one in the [head], don’t [rock] that shit in the [trunk].“
Rule #2: Get back, if they get at you. “If they [spin], you [spin], cause momma didn’t raise no fool.“
Rule #3: Save your money, but make sure you treat yourself occasionally in the process. “Stack it up. Don’t forgot to enjoy your bands.“
Rule #4: Don’t post about your extra-curricular activities on Instagram. “Don’t be postin’ shit, the Feds is on the gram.”
Rule #5: Live in the moment and tell people about it later. “Don’t share your location ’til you leave.”
Rule #6: Be careful of the people you keep around you. “You know you got to stay away from thieves.”
Rule #7: If you mess up your lady’s hair, you best be ready to spend some money to get it done. “You fuck it up, then buy her another weave.“
“I paint pics I really live. They’ll use your lyrics with the FEDs. You can’t YSL me, but if I ever go down you can call my plug and he’ll come and bail me.”
