Lonely Together are back at it again, this time with their first full length EP. Known as Neverlost, the release has been long awaited by fans. Throughout the months the duo have released two of the singles to great review.
Neverlost hosts an abundance of different styles and genres. The opening song, “Forever” hosts electric guitar by Riggs Mischke. The entire album itself is produced by both members of Lonely Together, Rosie and ZAK.
The couple has had a crazy journey into the music world. Coming from two different musical backgrounds, the two joined forces last year to create something special. ZAK told me that this EP is a reflection of their journey together. The hard work to learn the ins-and-outs of music.
When she was younger, Rosie received a number of different instrument lessons. Whereas ZAK had no real practical training in creating music. However, this did not slow the two down. Locking themselves in their in-home studio for hours on end, the two have made a piece of work that both can be proud of.
Upon first listen, Neverlost shows that their learning process was well worth the time. With a unique mix of styles, it’s a refreshing listen. Taking inspiration from hip-hop, electric, pop and more. Few artists or groups can mix genres together smoothly, but Lonely Together seems to have found the perfect in-between.
ZAK and Rosie made it a point to showcase the sound that they’ve been developing. The two said that this is just a taste of what’s to come for the couple and that we should all be ready for more in the future.
