Experience Lollapalooza’s Magic August 1-4 at Grant Park in Chicago

This year marks Lollapalooza’s 20th anniversary in Chicago. The festival, which began its Chicago run in 2005, has grown into one of the most anticipated events in the world. Lollapalooza takes place August 1-August 4, 2024, in Chicago, IL, at Grant Park. Some of the headliners are SZA, Blink-182, Megan Thee Stallion, The Killers, Skrillex, Metro Boomin, and other great artists too.

Highlights from the 2023 festival included unforgettable performances by Billie Eilish, Tems, Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Yachty, Joey Bada$$, and Karol G, the festival’s first-ever Latina headliner.

Lollapalooza Celebrates 20 Years in Chicago

In 2022, Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced another 10-year contract to keep the festival in city. This means the four-day music event will be in the city for at least another decade. Under the terms of the contract, the maximum number of attendees for the festival at any time can’t exceed 115,000. While the contract mandates Lollapalooza stay in Chicago for at least 10 years, it offers the option of a potential five-year extension. Under the deal, it’s believed Chicago will see a future financial impact of nearly $4 billion.

Of course, you can take your festival experience to the next level with VIP tickets. These start at $585 for a 1-day pass and $1,670 for a 4-day package.

The platinum option is the highest tier, and a 1-day ticket will set you back at least $2,080, while a 4-day pass begins at $4,500.

There are still options at ticket reseller sites like Dice, StubHub, Vivid Seats, and SeatGeek.
