Since releasing our October dance music edition of ‘Best Of NorthWest’ we have received a ton of interest in being featured as part of our series. Thanks to our fans and supporters, many new DJs and producers have been able to reach out to us!
One of these such artists, Zeekenex, is actually from Ellensburg, WA and now lives in the north Seattle area. He recently released his first EP, ‘Labels R4 Jars’, which features 3 incredibly unique original tracks. If you’re a fan of bubbly dubstep and hard or grimy house, this project is definitely going to be something you’ll enjoy.
After talking with Zeekenex I learned that he has a performance coming up at Foundation Nightclub when he opens up for Kayzo on December 2nd!

Zeekenex has been DJing for 3 years and producing religiously for about 18 months. Recently he played at STAGE Seattle in Seattle’s Pioneer Square district and was voted into a Wonderground DJ competition at Substation Ballard. Zeekenex, also known as Toby Froelich, actually won that competition and is scheduled to play on c89.5 November 14th from 9-10 inside the Vortex.
His first single Bubble Riot’ is available on Soundcloud for free download and rumor has it Zeekenex will be announcing a big booking when he plays on the radio on November 14th. Stay tuned for more updates from Zeekenex and be sure to give his Soundcloud a follow!
