Oregon does cannabis a little different than the rest of the West Coast. Their cannabis is displayed at the store in massive jars, allowing you to smell the product. Visually, Larry Mints stood out on the shelf. You currently can’t smell the cannabis because of Covid, but Left Coast Farms did an excellent job with this one. This cross of Larry OG and Kush Mints smells just like mint chocolate chip ice cream.
I’ve never been a fan of the way Oregon packages their cannabis. The lack of branding on the package limits the opportunities for farms to set themselves apart from others. Instead, they have to rely on delivering a consistent and killer product.
There is something pleasant about smelling weed that has a familiar aroma, especially one as enjoyable as mint. When that smell appears in the name, it is even better. Larry Mints even has a mint-green color with a dewy layer of trichomes on top. Darker patches of color give Larry Mints an appearance that mirrors mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Unboxing Larry Mints
I cracked open each nug in the bag a few times just to release that sweet minty aroma. Eventually I was able to discover a subtle pine undertone in the aroma. Both of these smells caused my mouth to water as I diligently inspected the cannabis.
Bits of cannabis stuck to my fingers as I broke apart the cannabis. I hadn’t seen sticky cannabis in a bit, I was excited. Left Coast Growers infused a delicious minty flavor into this strain that is unlike any mint strain I’ve had experience with. They did a damn good job. My mood elevated as Travis Thompson’s Ambaum album played through my speakers.
