From start to finish, La Plaza is arguably Berner’s best work to date. Throughout La Plaza, his storytelling and lyricism seemed to remain in the same niche and pockets he usually has on display. Although there wasn’t a major level up when it comes to Berner’s raps, his project is 100% just as dope as his “Drugstore Cowboy” and “Big Pescado” releases. I’d even go so far as to say that it’s right up there with “Pheno Grigio” with Curren$y too.

For a few songs on La Plaza, Berner’s classic weed-heavy rhyme schemes flowed effortlessly over smooth production and were accompanied by notable spitters like Jon Z, De La Ghetto, and the aforementioned artist, T3R Elemento.
