Kid Cudi has shared new details about his forthcoming album. The rapper and singer took to Twitter last night to clear up rumors, address fans and tease his new material. Upon being asked about “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV,” an unreleased collaboration with Playboy Carti, he shared a disappointing update.
“He wont clear it which is very weak,” Cudi wrote in response to a fan speculating the song’s inclusion on the new album. “So yea it wont be on there. Which is ok becuz the shit I have on this album fuckin smacks and ur faces will melt.”
Cudi debuted the song in question during his To The Moon Tour performance in Paris last year. Since then, fans across the world have been waiting for the official release of the song to hit the public domain. It is the fourth installment of a series that stretches across his classic records Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Indicud and Man on the Moon III: The Chosen.
Kid Cudi and Playboy Carti’s Relationship
Cudi and Carti have previously worked together on two songs: “M3tamorphosis” appeared in 2020’s Whole Lotta Red whereas “Pissy Pamper,” famously known as “Kid Cudi,” remains unreleased.
The relationship between the two artists had been a positive one thus far.
“When I get around you, I realize why I love you so much,” Carti said about Cudi in a 2021 interview. “I even appreciate [Kanye West] for introducing me and you. Being able to talk to somebody who understands what I’m saying, I got that from his whole camp.
“I felt that energy from everybody he deals with. I didn’t feel like a loner. The world I’m trying to build, he already got it going on. Ye is on this king vamp shit. Cudi is on this King Vamp shit. Y’all already on that.”
Additionally, Cudi also clarified that Travis Scott and Young Thug are featured on the album: “This is fact we have trav and thugger.”
So far, no further information has been revealed except for a single that is expected to drop on June 2. Stay tuned for more!
