As August comes to a close, it seems like more and more rappers are reigniting beef. While Kanye and Drake went head to head last week, Kodak Black and Jackboy are picking up the torch this week. On August 27th, the same day his album Jackboy 2 released, Jackboy was on Instagram Live talking with his fans. According to XXL, he was discussing issues he had with a member of his former label when Kodak Black appeared in the comments. He decided to add Kodak to the livestream as there appeared to be some tension between the rappers.
As soon as Kodak pulled up to the stream, both South Florida rappers participated in an intense screaming match. This lasted about 30 seconds before Jackboy removed Kodak Black from the stream. With this much static, it is important to discuss the history of both rappers.
This beef began when Kodak Black was attempting to sign YoungBoy Never Broke Again to his label, Sniper Gang. However, something happened between the two rappers and the deal was dropped. Later, it was revealed that the two rappers started beefing due to some things that were said by Kodak on social media. Kodak Black quickly revealed that those social media comments weren’t actually made by him. Instead, he claims Jackboy got a hold of his social media accounts and then started posting reckless things.
