What happens when you cross a legendary strain with a new school favorite? You get the Jack Cake flower and lawd can we tell you that the hype is 100% real. Straight out of Redding, California, a marriage of a heady Sativa with a sensory enhancing Indica could be just the thing the world needs.
While the product was not in the proper packaging, I did get the signature Ember Valley glass jars. The buds were nice and chunky, covered in orange pistils and frosty trichomes. The flowers had a proper cure and were prime for my smoking. To the nose, it smells way more Jack Herer than anything. A strong scent of pine and citrus jump out at you from the jar. The flavor profile was sweet and smooth upon inhaling, with a spiced citrus aftertaste.
Jack Cake is a true hybrid. I preferred to smoke it later in the afternoon to kickstart some chill creativity without becoming lethargic. Throughout the high, I remained clear-headed, focused, and tuned in to my tasks. I found myself ready to grab something to eat not shortly after smoking a bowl or two of this strain. Definitely a strain I would reach for to assist my never-ending desire to pack on the pounds.
Above all, I felt a sense of uplifted clarity from head to toe. A true hybrid if I’ve ever witnessed one. Day or night, Jack Cake is potent enough on both ends to give you the desired balanced high that won’t have you crashing when you come down. Give Ember Valley a shot whenever you’re in California at a licensed dispensary.
