Indoor Cannabis Grow Tent Ventilation - What You Need To Know

Indoor Cannabis Grow Tent Ventilation – What You Need To Know

IAlthough cannabis has been around for years, cannabis or marijuana is not something that is easy to grow. You need many different items to make marijuana plants flourish indoors and out. Lights, covering, a ventilation system, fertilizer, the right seeds, and so much more is needed to harvest a healthy crop. Once you have all the proper tools and understand the timing and lighting, it is possible to be successful at growing cannabis. One important part of growing is ventilation. Here is what you need to create the right ventilation system for growing cannabis indoors.

Mimic Nature

When you grow indoors you have to mimic the balance that mother nature creates outdoors, naturally. This involves controlling temperature and humidity in your grow tent. There has to be air brought into the tent and then air taken out of the tent.

Manmade Ventilation System

This involves the cost of the hardware and the electricity that is being used on a regular business. It is important to read all about growing cannabis before you even attempt it. There are costs involved that may not be worth it to some people. Growing anything takes time to see any real gain. Growing your own cannabis lets you know where your product is coming from.

Suction is Important

With a grow tent you will be exchanging the air every minute or so. There will be a suction to the tent that is visible. This means there is negative pressure within your tent.

Fans You Need

The main hardware you need for properly ventilating a tent will be round ducting that can reach a fresh air source along with duct tape. You will need an intake fan that will be blowing new air into the tent. You will also need an exhaust fan. The whole point of the ventilation is to make sure the plants get fresh air at all times. We found this great article Grow Tent Ventilation Guide that goes into great detail about grow tent heat, ventilation and humidity.

Extractor Fan and Ducting

The extractor fan goes close to the top of the tent near the ventilation hole. The intake fan will go near the bottom of the tent near the ducting. You are basically running the ducting through a hole in the bottom of the tent and sealing it with duct taping. The fan will be in front of the ducting sucking in the fresh air from the outside. The ducting has to run to a fresh air source.

A Successful Grow

Growing cannabis is not for everyone. You have to be very careful every step. You have to give your cannabis everything it wants in order for it to give you what you want, healthy flowering plants.

You can grow cannabis in your very own grow tent. With the proper fan system, you will be able to maintain a nice airflow for your plants to receive the oxygen they need to grow properly every step of the way. You do your grow right, you will feel so good. The reward will be the harvest.
