When we brought Huey P to HQ for his 206253 interview a while back, he heard some beats coming from our co-owner’s office. M-Pyre had borrowed some riffs from a Frank Dukes sample for the instrumental and the squad was really vibing to this creation.
Huey heard just a few different records but once he heard this one, it really caught his ear. Rolling up a swisher and nodding his head, the team witnessed the first 20 or so bars of Huey P ‘Black Jesus’ get recorded on the spot.
