Hot Music Friday Featuring Post Malone, French Montana, Lil Uzi Vert and More

And just like that, we’re preparing to wrap up August with another edition of Hot Music Friday. Before we close things out next weekend, let’s enjoy the summer’s peak with a fresh new spread of music.

The menu this weekend offers cuts by Post Malone, French Montana and Lil Uzi Vert, among several others. Dig In!

Hot Music Friday – August 18, 2023

“Still Pushin”– Logic

All set to drop his first free mixtape in ten years, Logic is still on top of his game. In stirring up anticipation for Inglorious Basterd, the release date of which has yet to be revealed, Bobby spits over Lupe Fiasco’s career-defining hit from 2009, “Kick Push.” Press play and you’ll see exactly why we chose this as our Hot Music Friday opener.

“Blood Moon” – Mike WiLL Made-It (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)

Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing new music since dropping the Pink Tape in June. Though they really made fans wait for it, the Philly native’s in their zone as it seems like they’ve got the ball rolling on a ton of other projects. While we wait for Barter 16 to finally drop, enjoy this new single with Mike WiLL Made-It.

“Good Summer” – French Montana

The title of French Montana’s new joint is pretty self-explanatory. This one sounds just like all the best parts of summer clumped into three minutes of pure auditory joy. What else could you possibly ask for at this time of the year?

“First Time I Heard Nas” – Reggie Webb

This one goes out to all our hip-hop heads. We make it a point to shine some light on the finest rap every Hot Music Friday, so we had to throw this one in for the love of the craft. On it, Reggie Webb remembers listening to Nas for the first time and how it shook up the music landscape forever … it’s safe to say that a lot of us remember that glorious moment.

“Ready for Now – Cherry Glazerr

We threw our curveball a little early into the list this week because why not? On this hard hitting new cut, Cherry Glazerr bring forth the quirky aggression they’re best known for, reminding us why consistency is just as fulfilling as always bringing something new to the table so long as it’s done the correct way.

“Vacation” – Priya Raju

There’s probably no song on our Hot Music Friday list this week that’ll get you moving the way “Vacation” will. Priya Raju come through firm on this track, reminding us why it’s such a thrill being alive. It’s always good to be reminded to dance.

Sundial – Noname

Noname is back with her first full-length studio album after more than five years. We definitely missed her while she was away, and the new tracklist is a pleasant reminder of why that was the case. Fortunately, she’s back to fill the void that absolutely no one else could have.

NPR Tiny Desk Concert – Post Malone

No feeling compares to seeing an artist you love pop up behind the Tiny Desk on YouTube, and Post Malone is without question among those who spark that excitement. As we close out another Hot Music Friday, take our word and listen to his NPR set.
