Lil Baby, Eminem, And More: Feel The Beat With Hot Music Friday’s Anthems for the Weekend

Happy Holidays Respect My Region folks! This week’s Hot Music Friday offers a dynamic blend of chart-toppers, emerging artists, and hidden gems. Whether you’re gearing up for a night out on the town or wanting that perfect soundtrack for a cozy evening in, this collection delivers an electrifying mix that captures the essence of the contemporary music scene. Get ready to turn up the volume with the latest on our Hot Music Friday Playlist!

Lil Baby “Crazy”

Hot Music Friday’s going to start off a little…”Crazy.” Lil Baby gets dark and intense, telling the story of how he got through the hardest times in his life. To get to where you need in life, you really gotta get through the times that it seems impossible. It’s in those moments of grit that you become the best version of yourself. The banger comes with haunting bass and pads diverging with vibrant horns, and the visualizer keeps up with the ominous vibe of the song.

Lil Dicky “Mr. McAdams”

Rachel McAdams. She’s fabulous but she’s evil…no, wait…unlike the villain she plays in Mean Girls, Rachel McAdams is just fabulous. Lil Dicky clearly seems to agree in this serenade he dedicated just for her. It’s a simple and sweet track with that classic ballad-type piano in the background with Lil Dicky’s usual light-hearted wordplay. It’s also a hella iconic move to have Drake, Brad Pitt, and Rachel McAdams herself in the music video!

Juice WRLD, Eminem & benny blanco “Lace It”

After being teased the past couple weeks with the leaked cover art, “Lace It” has finally made its way to the airwaves. Eminem and Juice WRLD’s bars come back together in a track that doesn’t hide the ugly when it comes to substance abuse. While benny blanco has collabed on many of Juice WRLD’s tracks, recording this track has extra meaning because it was the last time they ever saw each other. Let’s take a moment to listen to this and remember an incredible talent that was gone too soon.

Luh Tyler “The Grinch Freestyle (feat. Latto)”

Luh Tyler and Latto come together for this first time in this release that’s super fitting for the holiday season. Luh Tyler’s raspy delivery goes so well with Latto’s flow as they drop verses about calling out the Grinches in their lives that got salty at their success. The video is also so entertaining, y’all gotta see it for yourself.

YTB Fatt & Lil Yachty “Forreal”

The flow between these two rappers pushes their limits and makes for such a strong combo in “Forreal.” Neither of them are shy about their swagger, and they know they both kill it in the rap game. This banger is bold and shows off how unashamed YTB Fatt and Lil Yachty are about their confidence and how they use that confidence in their art.

Adventure Club “How Do I Say Goodbye (feat. Delaney Jane)”

Hot Music Friday’s catalog wouldn’t be complete without some fire EDM. You can never have too many good break up songs, and Delaney Jane teams up with Adventure Club to really tug on your heart strings with this gloomy but beautiful tune. Having difficult conversations is inevitable, and they’re difficult for a reason. It’s nice to know we can turn to music with songs like this that sonically and vocally portray that experience so well and remind us we’re not alone in this.

Kaskade & Emmit Fenn “Brighter (Dave Summer Remix)”

This house hit just got so much better with this Dave Summer remix that gives it an extra rumbling and pulsing tone that really livens everything up for Hot Music Friday’s list this week. “Brighter” is super dreamy and hypnotic and Emmit Fenn’s vocals may be soft and whisper-like, but he also stays powerful with it and gives this track an extra level of emotion.

John Summit, Mathame, & Camden Cox “Hungover”

“Hungover” is about something that may not be obvious to most just by looking at the title. It’s actually analogous story telling about coming back to something or someone that may not leave you better than before they came along, but you can’t help yourself when it comes to coming right back for more. Camden Cox’s voice and the techno beats all have a passion to match the overall theme.

Renée Rapp & Megan Thee Stallion “Not My Fault”

In case you haven’t already heard, there’s going to be a Mean Girls musical movie coming out in 2024! Music is already being released for it including this first time mash-up with Renée Rapp & Megan Thee Stallion. Just like the classic quality of Mean Girls, we got some serious sassiness about being a confident ass woman who knows what she wants.

Troye Sivan “One Of Your Girls (Dillon Francis Remix)”

While this pop-synth sensation has been catching people’s attention for a while now, Troye Sivan stepped it up a notch and just dropped this remix by Dillon Francis that adds to the song’s already techno feel. It feels super appropriate to add a little more electronic beats to “One Of Your Girls” since the robotic type vocal was an intentional reference to being expected to be an emotionless tool at the ready for whenever your presence is most convenient for the person your seeing behind closed doors.
