Last Saturday’s Hopsin and Dizzy Wright show was hype from start to finish. Local talent, Neema, aka Mr. 10K, set the tone for the whole night when he went beastmode, throwing on a last second Marshawn Lynch jersey. The energy from the crowd’s SEAAA HAWWKKKS chant was pretty intense as Neema progressed into his set. The crowd really fed off his energy and showed max love during each song.
Dizzy came on next and got the place all the way turnt up. One of his more popular tracks ‘Still Movin’, got the entire crowd bouncing and was one of the sickest moments of the night. He performed songs off his ‘Golden Age‘ mixtape which in all actuality is probably one of the most deserving mixtapes you’ll ever download. Hopsin was crazy to say the least. His set was filled with banger tracks from his most recent project ‘Knock Madness‘ and he even had a dope cypher sesh with “rappers” pulled from the crowd.
My night at the Showbox was awesome and each of the show’s artists brought something to the table that added to the experience. Knothead and Neema were great openers for Funk Volume’s lyrical duo and both Dizzy and Hopsin performed sets that kept the crowd hyped up. Big ups to Reign City, Funk Volume, and Neema for a dope event!
