Another product review for the West Coast Weed Tour by my pup and this one fell short. Despite an interesting blend of herbal components, Renly was not interested in the Healthy Roots 5mg Pet CBD Num Nums.
On the plus side, these Healthy Roots Num Nums have a lot going for them. The packaging is clean despite having low shelf appeal. 5mg of full-spectrum CBD is a good dose for a small dog. If I had a larger dog, they would have to eat a lot of calories in treats to get a feasible dosage. There are 60 treats in a container, so I wouldn’t run out too quickly. The treats have a long shelf life, so I wouldn’t be worried about them going bad.
The Healthy Roots 5mg Num Nums were cute treats, shaped like hearts. They had a very powerful smell to them, like peanut butter and something I didn’t recognize. Renly initially didn’t want one, and then spit out the one he took. You can see his reaction in the video below.
Overall, I couldn’t get my dog to eat them, so I cant evaluate his experience. The concept of an herbal calming biscuit with full-spectrum CBD was appealing to me. Just like cannabis, however, herbal ingredients have a smell and flavor. My assumption is that the Chamomile, Passion Flower, and Valerian Root overpowered the peanut butter. I’ll be giving these treats to a friend to see if their dog has a differnet opinion of the product.
