Halloween Nightmares was the theme for week 6 of Dancing with the Stars, and each couple performed an unlearned dance inspired by the celebrities’ biggest fears and darkest nightmares. They also participated in a dance-off for three bonus points, featuring the cha-cha-cha, jive, and salsa, except for Chandler and Brandon, creating an even set of three teams between the rest of the six couples.
Chandler and Brandon were immune from the dance-offs due to receiving the highest cumulative points in the season so far, and automatically received three bonus points. With the elimination of Jenn and Sasha, six couples remain in the 33rd season of Dancing with the Stars.
Halloween Nightmares: Ilona and Alan
The first couple to perform during Halloween Nightmares was Ilona and Alan. They danced the tango to Miley Cyrus’ cover of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.” The couple scored a combined 24 points from the judges, ranking as the lowest-scoring couple of the night.
Halloween Nightmares: Dwight and Daniella
Dwight and Daniella were the second couple to perform during Halloween Nightmares. The couple performed a contemporary dance to “Ring Around the Rosie.” They scored a combined 28 points from the judges and significantly earned the first 10 of the season.
Halloween Nightmares: Danny and Whitney
The third couple to perform during Halloween Nightmares was Danny and Whitney. The couple danced the Argentine tango to “Poison” by RAVN. They earned a combined 28 points from the judges for their performance.
Halloween Nightmares: Jenn and Sasha
Jenn and Sasha were the fourth couple to perform during week 6 of Dancing with the Stars. They performed a contemporary dance to Olivia Rodrigo‘s “Vampire.” The couple earned a combined 28 points from the judges.
Halloween Nightmares: Joey and Jenna
The fifth couple to perform during week 6 of Dancing with the Stars was Joey and Jenna. The couple danced the Argentine tango to Róisín Murphy’s “Ramalama (Bang Bang.)” They earned a combined 29 points from the judges, tying with Chandler and Brando for the highest performance score of the season so far.
Halloween Nightmares: Stephen and Rylee
Stephen and Rylee were the sixth couple to perform during week 6 of Dancing with the Stars season 33. They performed a contemporary dance to “I Ran (So Far Away)” by Hidden Citizens. The couple scored a combined 28 points from the judges for their dance.
Halloween Nightmares: Chandler and Brandon
The final couple to perform during Halloween Nightmares was Chandler and Brandon. The couple danced the Viennese waltz to Denmark + Winter’s cover of “Secret” originally sung by The Pierces. The original song was used as the theme song for the original Pretty Little Liars television series as well as the 2022 reboot of the same name, the latter of which Kinney had a starring role, while the cover by Denmark + Winter was used in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. The couple scored a combined 29 points from the judges, tying with Joey and Jenna for the highest performance score of the season so far.
Dance Offs
The first two couples to compete in the dance-offs were Ilona and Alan and Dwight and Daniella. They danced the cha-cha-cha to “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr., the theme from the 1984 film of the same name. The judges awarded the three bonus points to Dwight and Daniella.
The next two couples to compete in the dance-offs were Jenn and Sasha and Stephen and Rylee. They danced the salsa to “Jump in the Line” by Harry Belafonte. The judges awarded the three bonus scores to Jenn and Sasha.
Last but certainly not least, the final two couples to compete in the dance-offs were Danny and Whitney and Joey and Jenna. They danced the jive to “Time Warp” from the soundtrack of the musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Joey and Jenna won the three bonus points, tying them with Chandler and Brandon for the highest-scoring couple of the week with a combined 32 points.
