NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles has layers to it. There’s the version that shows up on social feeds and in press releases, and then there’s the version that unfolds quietly, early, and with people who already understand the city. On the morning of February 12th, that culture layer shows up at Chester Washington Golf Course, as Golf Beef returns for its eighth year alongside The West Coast Classic x The Classics Events team. It happens as NBA All-Star Weekend begins to settle into Los Angeles, before the schedule fills up and before the city turns up.
Eight years ago, Golf Beef was a smaller gathering built around people who already knew each other, trusted the environment, and wanted space away from the noise. That foundation hasn’t changed, even as the reach has grown.
Over the years, Golf Beef has naturally pulled in artists, athletes, comedians, and cultural figures who don’t need to be sold on showing up. Snoop Dogg, Matt Barnes, Xzibit, Wiz Khalifa, George Lopez, Coolio (rest in peace), Gary Payton, Jason Kidd, Ja Rule, Katt Williams, Byron Scott, Afroman, and Joe Brown are just a few of the respected names who have helped Golf Beef continue to grow.
In 2026, RMM Sports’ Big Percy links with James “Bo” Keyes and The Classic Events to continue shaping the experience without turning it into something manufactured.
The scale is larger, but the energy stays controlled.
The golf gives the Golf Beef event some structure, but it isn’t the focus. Celebrity and athlete foursomes move through the course naturally while conversations happen between carts and tee boxes.
Hosting the 8th annual Golf Beef at Chester Washington keeps everything grounded in South Central Los Angeles near the Clippers’ stadium, Intuit Dome.
On-course activations from brands like Jeeter, Stiiizy, Royal Blunts, Happie Drinks, and other brands will compliment the course and experience as a whole.
Classic Events has layered in some exciting moments that keep the pace moving without hijacking the day, including a helicopter golf ball drop, a golf ball rocket launcher, a “beat the LPGA pro” challenge, and a $1,000,000 shootout that adds energy without overpowering the environment.
Golf Beef Rider Gang Car Club Car Show Before NBA All Star Weekend 2026
A custom car show curated by the Rider Gang Car Club brings another layer of Los Angeles culture directly onto the course. Cars, music, sports, business, and community exist in the same space here, the way they do throughout the city. Nothing feels separated or staged.
Chester Washington isn’t treated as a backdrop. It’s part of the identity. Local collaborators, artists, car clubs, founders, and longtime community members share the same space as nationally recognized figures without hierarchy or barriers. That balance has always been part of what keeps this event consistent year after year.
Attendance remains intentionally limited. Invitations are curated. Brand participation is selective. Not to create hype, but to keep the environment intact.
