Although he’s been recognized as one of the most authentic and talented new artists coming up in the game, his releases have been minimal most recently. Dropping this new track is a positive sign that he’s looking to re-emerge in 2019 and showcase what he’s been working on.
“Joke Ting” is both lighthearted and catchy. This can be seen with Ari PenSmith singing on the chorus. In addition, GoldLink’s vocals expand on the chorus, as he showcases precise and inventive lyricism and wordplay.
The song is driven by a light synth lead. Mixing well with the jumpy percussion and overall bounce that the track has from start to finish. Because of this, “Joke Ting” is the perfect song for playing at a party or relaxing by the pool on a hot summer day. Regardless, this song has a little something for everyone to enjoy.
