Gold’N Grams Has Made A Gelato Live Resin So Flavorful That It Will Haunt You—Strain Review

Gelato is one of those hybrids that came from the Cookies Fam and the prestigious parents Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC (fka Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies.) The main terpenes in this strain are caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene. This combo would lead you to believe this strain would lean more towards a sativa-like high. Little did I know, when taking some dabs of Gold’N Grams’ Gelato that this strain could have such a stimulating, yet herbal effect. Gold’N Grams Concentrates are one of the new extensions of the Legit Cannabis Co. family.

When I twisted open my “terps on the rocks” from Gold’N Grams I thought I was going to get hit with a peppery-sweet scent. But instead, my nose found the humulene and limonene terpenes coming out stronger in this saucy mix. This type of live resin concentrate gives off crazy amounts of terps, but can be a little runny, so I store it in the fridge to lock in the flavor and make it easier to scoop up for dabbing. This particular Gelato was a perfect blend of diamonds and sauce because the diamonds were small enough to seamlessly mix into the sauce for ultimate flavor.

When loading up my dab (low-temp as always) I got excited to see which flavors would really shine through. As soon as I took a hit I could taste the hoppy, citrusy taste of the humulene, and limonene that soon was met by the spicy kick of the caryophyllene. The high was reminiscent of the type that I have come to expect from Gelato—euphoric, stimulating, yet relaxing. The only difference with Gold’n Grams’ offering was that it put my anxiety immediately to rest, while still keeping me mentally agile. I found myself able to easily get back to work after a brain-blasting dab, while feeling loose and less tense overall. This is the type of Gelato that you could smoke during the day, or at night and choose whether you wanna crash or keep grinding.
