The Chem 91 Skunk VA #5 Black Label Live Budder is gLeaf’s latest heavy hitting Indica concentrate. Chem 91 is a classic and impressive lineage that is a descendant of the legendary strain Chemdawg. Any user of this strain can expect a pleasant flavor profile mainly consisting of citrus with back-notes of lavender. After some thorough testing of Chem 91, it’s safe to say gLeaf crushed it with this product.
The gLeaf Medical Cannabis team currently operates in four states: Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio. They are headquartered in Bedford County, PA, with a state of the art extraction lab and genetics facility spanning 100,00 square feet.
Their team prides themselves on innovation, creating, and processing unique strains that aim to address any and every patient’s needs.
Chem 91 First Impressions
I didn’t go into this review with much of an opinion or having much knowledge on gLeaf. With the exception of the Chem 91, I’ve had one other crumble from their company. After dabbing the Chem 91 for about a week, I’m beginning to think of gLeaf as a producer who cares about what they release into the market.
When I think of concentrates, my mind immediately conjures aromas of citrus, lavender, and pine, because these are the flavors and smells I very much enjoy in my extracts. gLeaf’s Chem 91 hits all those notes and more.
The moment I broke the seal and opened the package I was hit in the face with the exact aromas I described. Needless to say I was eager to pick a glob and dive in.
The Chem 91 is as described, as budder. It is not liquid in consistency so it’s pretty easy to pick the dab you want. It’s gotten a little more dry as the week goes on but that’s the case with pretty much any concentrate or flower. The taste doesn’t quite live up to the smell—because how could it?—but it was still a pleasant and light dab with no gross aftertaste to be found.
As you’d expect with any quality Indica, the effects hit you fast and hard. This is a good one for me to drown out the world and just kick back. It’s a good nighttime high for when you’re winding down and ready to get sleepy. The THCa percentage on this item wasn’t the highest, but it was right above 80%.
Final Thoughts
No matter the types of concentrate you like, I feel like this one could really be a one size fits all. Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of indicas or maybe you don’t like budders, the smell and effects will wash away any doubt.
