French Toast is one of the ultimate breakfast foods and Svin Garden in Washington State grows a cannabis strain named after the dish. Known as a sativa dominant hybrid, the French Toast strain crosses Paris OG and Face Off OG.
There is a subtle maple syrup aroma to the strain. I hoped the smell would be more prevalent than it was but it was still unique and pleasant. The buds also were a bit less dense than anticipated. There were gaps between the various parts and areas of the nug.
Svin Garden also uses a flying pig as their logo. The pig has a sneaky high look on its face as it flies by some clouds. I understand how the pig feels, I feel the same way after smoking a few bowls.
Smoking the French Toast strain included a noticeable maple syrup taste to each hit, although not as strong as I had hoped it would be. The flavor was a little harsh compared to what I had anticipated as well.
The effects of the strain were relatively mellow and hard to notice at times. When you think about the two parent strains, Paris OG and Face Off OG, the French Toast strain should’ve definitely hit harder.
