Up-and-coming electronic artist French Original dropped a new single today titled “History.” Earlier this year, French Original released a remix of Deadmau5 and The Neptunes’ track “Pomegranate” that blew up placing the young artist on the map as well as a #3 spot on Spotify’s “Dancing Rising.”
“History” is a great example of French Original’s original sound—no pun intended. The track has a fruity, summery vibe supplemented with a driving bass line that showcases the artist’s deep house roots.
French Original is no newbie despite his rapidly developing following. He has worked alongside other matured musicians such as Madison Beer and Meduza, where he helped co-write hit the single “Born To Love.”
Being able to write songs in not only English, but French as well gives this rising sensation an edge. Not to mention the various instruments he plays. The French-born DJ has known he was destined for stardom even from a young age. His work so far is a clear indication that he was right.
“I wrote this song after talking with a friend who kept finding herself being drawn back into a bad relationship. It’s really about how physical attraction and the intoxication of it can drag you back down a path of pain, something I think many of us can identify with.”
