From Beats to New Beginnings: RMR’s Final Hot Music Friday Bash of 2023

RMR Fam, y’all ready to kiss 2023 goodbye in style with some of the last hit songs to come out before the new year? We know you are. It’s definitely been a dope year for music, but 2024 is undoubtedly going to be another one for the books and we’ll be here to keep showing you all the blazing tracks that come our way in the future. Respect My Region wishes all you beautiful people the best new year, and stay safe out there while you turn up to these scorching jams as the countdown begins.

Lil Uzi Vert “Red Moon”

Lil Uzi Vert’s Christmas gift to the world is an analogy for the changing phases of a relationship. The melodic hip-hop tune comes with a catchy drum and bass that helps really set it apart. The shots in the music video are extremely intimate with focus on a contemplative and emotional Lil Uzi Vert that ends with his own personal quote about love and the importance of self worth.

Sexyy Red “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad)”

Sexyy Red is absolutely unapologetic in this track just like the rest of her new album Hood Hottest Princess. This one right here is a testament to never letting anybody keep you from living your best life, baby daddy included. She’s not gonna sit around and cry over a broken heart when she can just treat herself out to a night of turning up and remembering that she is that bitch.

Flo Milli “Never Lose Me”

Another absolute queen in the game for our last HMF of 2023, Flo Milli has officially made Billboard Hot 100 status with “Never Lose Me” and for good reason! This song about loyalty is a whole vibe and chill as hell, and it’s got that catching hook that’ll stay living in your head rent free. The visuals of the music video coincide so well with Flo Milli’s wordplay, and you gotta love that she is so confident in front of the camera.

Central Cee “Entrepreneur”

Despite the career change, Cench still maintains the same exact hustle he had when times were tougher and he had to make his money off the streets. It’s that same grind that has led him to be such a success in the music and clothing industry, and “Entrepreneur” is his reminder of where he came from and how it’s lead him to where he’s at now. Showing Central Cee between a Yaris and Uris as well as shots at a gas station and cityscapes make for a video that reflects the lyrics perflectly.

Megan Thee Stallion & “Big Mouth” Cast “Pussy Don’t Lie”

Megan Thee Stallion becomes Megan Thee Hormone Monstress in the beloved and unfiltered Netflix series, “Big Mouth.” Sticking with the general theme of the series, the song is about the female perspective on sexuality and how irresistible it can be when the hormones run wild. With her classic charisma, the song makes an already entertaining show even more so.

Eliza Rose & Calvin Harris “Body Moving (Club Mix)”

Ideal for a night out (especially New Year’s Eve 2023) this collaboration is heavy on the synth and soulful vocals. Eliza Rose really delivers with her smokey vocal runs that flow effortlessly with the disco-type type beats produced by Calvin Harris. Eliza Rose also looks stunning in this burlesque style setting used for the music video.

VØJ & ATSMXN “Winter Memories”

“Winter Memories” is already such a fitting title for this time of year. This is a total lo-fi banger, and VØJ and ATSMXN bring in nostalgic tones that make for great relaxation as 2023 comes to an end. Get cozy and maybe grab some hot chocolate or cider while tuning in to give yourself that comfy, sweater weather feel.

FLETCHER “Eras Of Us”

This slow tempo ballad may get you reflecting if you went through the highs and lows of a relationship this year and are leaving it behind as you move on to new things in 2024. FLETCHER really tugs on the heart strings with her emotional and sultry voice describing the beginning, middle, and end of a relationship that went south. The songstress expertly puts into music what it feels like when you’re watching yourself internally say goodbye to that time of your life in real time.

Diplo & Maren Morris “42”

This duo comes together to create a multi-genre hit that has a fantastic, gradual build-up that leads to an extremely lively chorus. Marin Morris takes the energy up a notch too with her perky and spirited vocals, but Diplo’s beats still also manage to bring an air of chillness to the melody. All in all, this composition will captivate you as you listen with its wholehearted message about passion-fueled dedication in a relationship.

Alan Walker, Dash Berlin, & Vikkstar “Better Off (Alone, Pt. III) [Timmy Trumpet Remix]”

An epic twist on a legendary classic, this remix seems like the perfect way to bid farewell to what we leave behind in 2023 as well as welcome all that the future has to offer in 2024! What also makes this release extra exciting is the look inside Walkerworld in China. The light shows, effects, and attractions all looked so wild and incredible that anyone would get FOMO if they weren’t actually there.
