In an article I wrote a little while back it was announced that Felix Jaehn had officially won two Diamond Music Awards. An astounding accomplishment for the early 20’s electronic artists. Felix’s sophomore album is on the horizon which means singles are beginning to drop. On August 21st Felix released ‘”No Therapy,” a slightly seductive yet catchy cut with an iconic drop.
I don’t know about other listeners, but I find that a lot of Felix’s music comes equip with a well-rounded bassy chorus that leaves you dancing. This song is no different.
What’s wonderful about the video is its emphasis on normalizing LGBTQ+ relationships. A variety of couples are featured of all races, orientations, and physicality.
The song featured queer LA-based artist, Bryn Christopher, who is also one of the stars of the video. For being so young, Felix has already made a tremendous impact on his listeners. He is open about his challenges with mental health and talks about them frequently. He’s an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and supports a new narrative of human equality.
His music speaks for itself. Having become a global sensation practically overnight with his hit remix “Cheerleader” which has climbed to over a billion streams on Spotify.
Being such a dynamic and unapologetically talented artist makes way for even more anticipation. Felix has accomplished in the last five years of his career what some people don’t even achieve in a lifetime. Unbelievable the best part of it all is how humbled he is about it all.
