Eli Lev Is Using Every Direction To Create His Own Unique Path In Music

Eli Lev is a dope, down to earth dude. It’s not every day that I choose to write about folk-indie/Mumford and Sons type music. I don’t dislike it, I can totally listen to it. It’s just not my bag when it comes to writing most of the time. But this artist presented the opportunity to talk about something truly unique and creative. I couldn’t just let that pass on by so, to the stars we go, with Eli Lev.

Eli released the first single, “To The Stars,” from his upcoming album Deep South releasing Fall of 2019. This album is a part of a four-album project that is inspired by the Navajo Nations four cardinal directions. East, West, South, North. The goal is to create each album to represent and curate a specific experience with music that will be aligned with this overarching and sacred indigenous perspective. Together this work will create an uplifting and emotional resonance that is sonically innovative.

The first of the four albums, All Roads East, was released in 2017, with Way Out West in 2018. This album won the 2019 WAMMIE for Best Country American Album. Deep South is scheduled to release in October, and True North will be coming in 2020.
