Keep Your Isolation Grooving With This Uplifting List Of Electronic Summer Cuts

It’s festival season. I know how disappointed we all are that live streams are now our only access to the stage. In the midst of the world’s chaos, we’ve curated the perfect social isolation playlist vibe full of new and old-time bangers to keep you on your feet.

I hope these songs find you in a time when you really need them. Nothing a little house-tech-electronic can’t fix right? I’ve picked out some of my favorite tracks to talk a little bit about starting off with Sofi Tukker.

House Arrest by Sofi Tukker and Gorgon City

Obviously, this track hits different given the relatability. It’s also the first song on the playlist. The song has an almost dreamy feel. Could I go as far to say it feels even a little hazy? Granted we all feel slightly off these days. Floating between one day and the next. Social isolation has become the new norm, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be spunky.

Though the song is somewhat upbeat, Sofi Tukker quotes it as a lullaby in her line “I sing you to sleep, do you like my lullaby?” If she’s asking, yes I do like her lullaby, but I don’t know if it could put me to sleep. It’s dancing time!

This song always gets me going even if it’s from three years ago. Whether this song was in anticipation of the ongoing worldly discontent, or random creativity, who knows. What I do know is that it’s a great listen these days during my ongoing isolation from the pandemic-ridden world.

The lyrics go, “I know things have been a little strained around here lately because of all the stuff going on outside the house, you know, the pressure”

See what I mean?

I also chose to showcase this song for its message and charm. The song is obviously about trying to care less. Not that this is the time to stop caring and hideaway, but I think we can all take a day off every once in a while.

The singer soulfully serenades, “Oh I know I know, it’s a complicated life. Oh I know I know, I don’t mind not getting it right.”

I think we can all take this into consideration. Life is extremely complicated, especially right now. Like damn. None of it is okay, but we all make mistakes. Righteously so when everything is changing so fast around us all the time.
