Don’t Miss These 5 Must-See Artists at this Year’s Electric Zoo

New York City’s biggest electronic happening is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate Labor Day Weekend than dancing to some of the best sounds of the genre. Electric Zoo returns to Randall’s Island this Friday, September 1st, and so does Respect My Region. We’re excited to enjoy some of our favorite artists across six grand stages in a beautiful waterfront venue overlooking the Manhattan skyline. It may be a trek to get there, but it’s always more than worth it.

Check out some of our must-see artists at this year’s Electric Zoo. Here are five acts that we think you shouldn’t miss!

5 Must-See Artists at Electric Zoo 2023

Eli Escobar

Eli Escobar is a popular name in New York City’s house and disco scene, regularly playing across some of the city’s best venues. Over the past two decades, he’s made quite a name for himself, releasing music on labels like Phonica, Razor n Tape, Defected’s ‘Classic,’ and his own label, Night People. He’s performed at clubs like House of Yes, SILO, Le Bain, and platforms like BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Boiler Room, and Mixmag’s ‘The Lab.’ Get a taste for NYC’s music scene at Eli Escobar’s Electric Zoo performance.

Eli Escobar will be performing on Friday, September 2nd at the Morphosis stage.

Moore Kismet

Moore Kismet is likely the youngest artist set to perform at this year’s Electric Zoo, and this shouldn’t be taken lightly. The Southern California-raised, non-binary artist leads the new generation of electronic music and is an influential voice in the LGBTQ+ creative community. The multi-talented audiovisual artist creates and performs an eclectic blend of bass, dubstep, and trap, which has landed them on Billboard’s 21 Under 21 list the past two years.

Moore Kismet will be performing on Saturday, September 3rd at The Continuum stage.

Canabliss

Hailing from Toronto, Canabliss is an all-around creative and self-taught musician. Through music, photography, and video games, she expresses her natural artistic eye and colorful palette. A rising international force in the budding bass music scene, Canabliss’ sound floats between experimental and future bass, creating a distinctive, recognizable sound. Her contagious teetering, bass-heavy sound has awarded her a solid fanbase in just a few years. She’s performed across the festival circuit at events like Global Dance, HARD Summer, and Firefly, as well as joining Liquid Stranger and Rezz on tour.

Canabliss will be performing on Saturday, September 3rd at The Landing stage as part of the Wakaan takeover.

HoneyLuv

HoneyLuv began her DJ career at clubs around LA but quickly went on to playing in venues around the country. The LA-by-way-of-Cleveland artist made her festival debut in 2020 and has since formed a strong, lasting identity in the American EDM scene. HoneyLuv has performed at large festivals, such as Desert Hearts, EDC Las VegasAudiotistic, and more.

Further, she showcases her talent worldwide and has a strong online presence by participating in live streams such as House Nation and others. Additionally, HoneyLuv hosts her own radio program called House of Honey on iLL Donuts Radio, which focuses on techno and house music.

HoneyLuv will be performing on Friday, September 2nd at the MegaMirage stage.

Liquid Stranger / Wakaan Takeover

There’s no doubt bass music has been taking over. And one of the labels at the head of the train is Wakaan, ran by bass maestro Liquid Stranger. Wakaan is bringing a lineup of boundary-pushing artists to Electric Zoo on Saturday, September 2nd. Liquid Stranger will be headlining, with support from Peekaboo, Jansten, Rusko, Truth, Superave., Canabliss, Sharlitz Web, and Charmae.

Liquid Stranger and Wakaan will be taking over The Landing all day on Saturday, September 2nd.
